Our History
In 2008, after many years in the industry, Jeff Carver and Steve Trevino formed a small company to help fill the supply void being created by the phase-out of needed legacy refrigerants. Initially providing cylinder exchange programs for wholesale distributors, and field recovery services for industrial and commercial service contractors primarily in the Gulf Coast, the company soon became the go-to provider of all types of refrigerants and services throughout the US.
In 2021, the Company entered into a collaboration with GRIT (Gases, Research, Innovation and Technology, SLU), based in Barcelona, Spain. GRIT has developed new technologies and products that Summit is introducing to the US market.
